Streets Strewn with Drug Baggies? Yeah, NYC’s Got That
The eminent research scientist Kendall Jenner may not know what those “cute little Ziploc baggies” are used for, but the rest of us certainly know. And if you’ve never actually seen one, just head on down to the lovely streets of New York because they’re strewn with them.
Don’t believe me? I figured you wouldn’t, so I took pictures of them as indisputable proof. And I really didn’t have to look very hard to find them; I spot them every time I am out in my daily run. I will continue to add to this collection, because sadly, they are not going away.
It should be noted I spotted all of these in my gritty neighborhood of Washington Heights. But I’m sure you can find them outside your front door as well, whether you live in East Harlem or the Upper East Side.
By the way, of the initial five baggies below, I snapped four of them on the same run. One was in a playground. Very nice.
(Editor’s note: I thought four was bad. The very next day along the same route I found twice as many! Proof below.)
I know the police can’t stop drug dealing, but is it asking too much for our drug addicts to be a bit more tidy?
Sigh, I hate this city.
